bagels!
hello my sweet dear sea slugs (。・ω・。)ノ♡
melancholy times require melancholy cozy tasks… ♡
i began the day with a quiet kind of anxiety… the kind that lingers in your chest, tied to family things you can’t quite fix (。•́︿•̀。) so i decided to take a small step back… a mental health day, just for me.
i stayed in and watched drifting home…
and it was so beautiful.
the colors were vibrant and endless, like they were drifting along with the story itself… and the ocean ♡ ♡ ♡ this ocean felt vast and lonely (´。• ^ •。) ☆
the story was so chaotic too.. in that way where you’re just gripping onto the moment, not knowing what’s going to happen next (。•́︿•̀。) it really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time…
and it hurts… seeing kids in situations like that. there’s something especially heavy about it, like their emotions feel bigger, more fragile, and harder to hold (´。• ᵕ •。`)
but at the same time…
the idea of the story is so interesting ♡
this strange drifting space, caught between memory and reality… it feels almost dreamlike, but also a little unsettling, like something you’re not meant to fully understand (。˘︶˘。)
it stayed with me even after it ended…
like a quiet tide that doesn’t fully pull back it made everything feel a little quieter inside me.
i didnt think that i would like the movie but i’m glad i gave it a chance.
i love experiencing new things… watching new things…
when the movie ended, ive gotten soo hungry after all of the emotional rollercoaster i’ve went through.
i’ve decided to make matcha bagels! (≧◡≦)☆ this was actually my first time making anything bread related… and it felt so daunting at first (。•́︿•̀。) i’ve been wanting to try more bread recipes, and i figured bagels would be the best place to start ♡
but… it got a little chaotic ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ the dough turned out so sticky and gooey because i ran out of flour halfway through… just me standing there like… with gooey hands… oh no… (“- 。 -)
but i eventually got more and dusted it on top, trying to save everything ☆ and somehow… they came out so big and round and… kind of chubby (≧▽≦) like little puffy sea creatures.

i baked them in my tiny breville since my kitchen doesn’t have an oven… just making do with what i have (。˘︶˘。) and it reminded me of one of my favorite bakers, @julii.fnz, who also makes the cutest treats in a breville ♡

and honestly… they turned out really good (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ☆

a little burnt, but still pretty good for a first try, if i do say so myself!
i didn’t have cream cheese or anything for a proper filling, but i had greek yogurt… and my strawberry syrup ♡ so i mixed them together… and it was actually so good. light, tangy, sweet… (´。• ᵕ •。) ♡

i’ll definitely try to make these again with all that i’ve learned ♡
today felt a little heavy at first… but somewhere along the way, it softened.
like waves smoothing out the shore… slowly, gently, without needing to rush ♡
i think that’s enough for today (。˘︶˘ )
