gifts for my mom
while i was in mitsuwa marketplace in chicago, i drifted into the sweetest little corner of the world, a japanese sweets shop called j.sweets ♡
it felt like stepping into a sweets heaven, shelves shimmering with delicate confections from k. minamoto, each one more enchanting than the last and each was wrapped in the most darling packagings. i found myself floating back and forth, completely mesmerized, eyes tracing every piece of wagashi like they were tiny works of art… it was almost impossible not to fall in love (≧◡≦) ♡
as i wandered… something tugged at my heart and it made me think of my mom. i missed her so much, it’s been a while since i’ve seen her. being surrounded by all these beautiful sweets, i wanted to bring a little bit of that magic back to her.
it was sooo hard to decide which ones to get her but i picked out a variety set that contained a shimizuhakuto jelly and a tonseka jelly to surprise her, so she could have her own small, sweet taste of chicago too (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡
